Fun in the Summer

As many of you know, we like to have as much fun in the summertime as we can. 

Consider, exhibit A!

"This isn't the most fun for me Cash!"

"Maybe we should turn off the sprinkler and go to the lake."

So that's what we did. 

Daddy and I rode the tube.

And Miss and Lei Lei.

Mommy and Lei Lei rode together too.

And then things got really crazy!

"Dump 'em grandpa!"

Even Coltie enjoyed himself.

And then he was spent. 

"Hit it Daddy!"

 No way, I'm going to drive all by myself!

But Daddy thought better of it.

Lei and I got new bikes this summer. 

Daddy rode his bike too.

"And if I ride back here, I don't have to pedal!"

"I've got you all beat, I don't even have to sit up!"

We left Coltie and Mommy at home and went camping. 

"I enjoyed a little tea and crumpets..."

"And warming my bum by the fire!"

We found a nice swing set. 

But I want some music, some live music!

 Ah, that's better. Nothing like a little bluegrass before bedtime!

Colorado with My Cousins

WHAT! We're driving all the way to Colorado with baby Coltie!

Well, I guess that's okay if I can drive part of the way.

We finally made it into town and stopped for a break.

Colite was glad to get his buckles off. 

And Lei and I were happy to stretch our legs a bit. 

We stopped at the store and I got a bow and some arrows!

"Are we sure this is a good idea?"

Trust me, I can do this with one eye closed!

But of course I had to put it away when my cousins arrived. 

Colter sure warmed up to Abby pretty fast. 

One day we fed the geese. 

"Look out Daddy, there's one right behind you!"

We went on a lot of picnics. 

"And ate a lot of hot dogs!"

And did a lot of slack lining. 

Coltie liked the picnics, but he didn't eat any hot dogs. 

We made our way to a waterfall. 

And it didn't take Leighton long to look like this!

I of course prefer to keep my clothes on. 

Daddy taught me how to fish. 

And Mommy taught me how to shoot. 

I'm even starting to wonder if this is a good idea!

We all went to Mesa Verde. 

And saw where the Indians lived. 

We went fishing again, but Daddy didn't catch anything.

Mommy didn't catch anything.

And even I didn't catch anything!

But one thing's for sure....

We make fishing look good!

"Don't forget about me!"

"I make everything look good!"

"People please! Just look at this face!"

Our last night at the condo. I don't think Uncle Dave got much sleep that night!
