Lei Lei Turns 1!

Can you believe I'm already 1!

Cash, Mommy and Daddy had a big party for me.

All eyes were on me, and on the cakes of course.

Cash got caught licking frosting off the cupcakes.

And later got in trouble for opening my presents.

I was so excited to get a drum set, but I think Mommy and Daddy were less enthused.

On to the cakes.

AAAHHHH, that cake is scary.

Yes, this is more like it.

I'll just hold it up for a closer look.

And then swipe it across the top of my head.

But wait, Mommy got three cakes and I've only gotten two so far.

There we go. Don't mind if I do.

As my cousin Sadie always says, today is the best day of my life!

A special thanks to Aunt Miss for spoiling me so much.

And a special thanks to my cousins for partying with me.

And a special thanks to Pappa for the traditional Redding lamb cake. It's not so scary I guess.

Mommy's Surprise Birthday Party

Mommy turned 30 and Daddy made sure to plan a good party. With my help, and the help of some friends, Mommy just thought she was going to get her nails done. Little did she know there was a party for her.

She was crowned Princess for the night.

Mommy and Daddy.

Jon and Mary.

Russ and Sarah.

Jeff and Angela.

Momma, Pappa and Miss.

She ended up getting a total of three birthday dinners and three cakes.

Come May 18 I expect something very similar!

Fun in Colorado

A few weeks ago we went to Pagosa Springs to play in the snow.

But of course I did as much eating of the snow as I did playing in it.

Daddy and I built a fort. Actually I tried to destroy it as fast as he built it.

Mommy and Daddy went skiing one day. They said I was still too little to go.

We went to town and I tried getting gum balls out of the machine. Daddy said he used to do that when he was a kid.

Later we went up the mountains to play in the snow.

Chris, Julie and "B" where there to sled with us.

Pappa...

And Momma came too.

I had a great time pulling "B" on the sled.

Lei Lei just stayed in the car eating chips and drinking Mt. Dew.

Finally she got out for a bit to play.

All the rest of the time we mostly just lounged around the condo in our pj's and boots eating cheese balls.
